Food was just average nothing special and no lunch specials 3 item combo 12.95 I thought was very expensive

Eh the food is kinda bland I wouldn't call it authentic Mexican food but the staff was extremely friendly!

I adore this restaurant a lot. theres a great mood. The kitcen is wonderful. the service is dynamic and the waiters are polite. The pay is satisfactory. I warmly recommend.

COVID-19 Adjusted Review: There was plenty of room to social distance. The waitress wore a mask. My chili relleno was perfection. Plenty of chips and salsa. They gave us free refried beans with our chips too. The menu was printed on a single piece of paper. Salt and pepper shakers were available upon request. They used pre-packaged plastic silverware, napkin and spice packets. But they let us in! The first 2 restaurants we went to would not let us have a sit-down meal.

Very delicious entrees. Chimichangas, taco salad, fajitas, enchiladas. Do yourself a favor and order the guacamole and cheese dip for your chips. They are very friendly and polite. Lots of seating for larger parties. Tasty margaritas. Food comes out hot and fast. Nice bar area for watching the game. My one request is they add a mocajete to their menu.

Great Mexican place. Good prices and a decent drinks selection, including beer and various flavors of margaritas. The service is prompt and we often for what we needed without having to ask.

The service at this restaurant was fast, the staff was friendly. The food came out hot and delicious. When you first sat down, they bring you chips, sauces, and beans.

Our service was impeccable. We were seated very quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and was very attentive to our needs. My meal was absolutely delicious! Very large portions and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend if you want the real deal authentic Mexican food. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!! 10 ☆'s out of 5.

It's the first Mexican restaurant that I've been to that serves food on the table. I usually pick Chipotle or Qdoba for a quick bite. This place is suited for enjoying a pleasant meal with family, friends or co-workers. It has a variety of choices in the menu which can make it hard to choose. I ordered a Seafood enchilada with shrimp and scallops. Best Mexican dish I've EVER had. The dish activated so many taste buds as I was constantly being bombarded with different flavors. It was spicy but there was some sour cream to help with that. The place also serves complimentary taco chips with dips of salsa, beans and a chilli sauce when you enter. The staff was friendly and gave off a very authentic Mexican vibe for the restaurant as they included Spanish phrases and words in their speech. It wasn't very pricey either. Try it out.

Good service and good food, Beautiful setting, am going back again

We stayed at the nearby Wildwood hotel and visited this place twice. Easily a better option than the mediocre chain restaurants, in our opinion. Great portions, service and decor.

They have great food here. We ordered carry out and they even gave us chips and salsa. The Carne Azada burrito was very great.

Very good! And I'm from Texas so I can tell you it's very Tex Mex. :-) Price is extremely affordable, big portions, and ask for their home made salsa verde.

Best Me ican food I've ever eaten

To preface we did arrive at 9 pm, but they are open to 10 pm. Queso and chips were very good. Blended margarita was made with less than enthusiastic server who seemed like it was a burden. Food was standard Mexican fare with nothing to write home about. Long story short given the many options of Mexican food in DSM will likely hit another establishment up before venturing back to this one.

4 stars mainly due to quick service and the added bean dip with chips and salsa. Great idea. Wasn't super impressed with my meal would eat here again and give a different entree a try.

This place is my preferred one. I visit many restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very friendly and the cuisine they serve is so appetizing. I would always prefer to have a nice meal in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food & great variety to choose from. Large portions. You definitely get your money's worth. Highly recommend the fajitas. Cadillac Margarita was excellent as well. Consistently top notch place!

The Original is the best margarita in Iowa, period. Food is well above average and the service is fantastic. After a couple visits, the restaurant owner treats you like family and it truly sets this place apart.
